About Delavida
A brief history
Delavida was founded in May 2008 by our current Managing Director, Tom Walsh in Liverpool and has since expanded throughout the UK in a range of industries. The name 'Delavida' is a combination of three Spanish words; 'de', 'la' and 'vida' which mean 'of life'.
Delavida was set up as an extention of Walsh's beliefs to use the company as a greater plaform on which to promote them on. These beliefs are living life to learn, laugh and love while helping others to do so. Our sole aim is therefore to make as many people as happy as we can, in any way we can.
Our philosophy
We all know that the primary purpose of business is to make money and that for a large proportion of companies this money is squandared on luxuries by owners, CEOs and Directors.
However, at Delavida it is our philosophy that while having surplus money is gratifying (we all deserve a treat once in a while), it is much more gratifying to reinvest that money to enrich the lives of others. Some of ways we acheive this include;
- Expansion - To provide a greater number of people with stable, fullfilling jobs
- Diversification - To offer to the British public a unique product or service that aids Delavida's aim of changing lives for the better
- Investing in employees - Employees make up the Delavida family, so it is only correct that we reward them generously
Corporate Culture
Our corporate culture isn't very corporate at all. For those who work at Delavida, it's more like a family culture. Here are our core beliefs:
- Work is play
- Colleagues are family members
- A worker not laughing is an unproductive worker
- With determination, you can achieve anything
- Success, no matter how great or small, is always celebrated.
